This suit was initiated in the light of the proposal received from the office of District Sub Registrar, Pakur, through letter no. 94/Reg. dated 22.03.2025, for recovery of the deficiency stamp duty of Rs. 1,28,190.48 and registration fee of Rs. 96,142.86 found in the registered document no. 4515, dated 07.12.2015, submitted by the opponent in the course of registration. In the light of the proposal received, the suit was instituted and notice was issued to the opponent to present his side. The opponent appeared in the court on 09.04.2025 and filed a copy of the online payment receipt of the amount of Rs. 1,28,191.00 deposited in lieu of deficiency stamp duty and the amount of deficiency registration fee of Rs. 96,143.00 deposited in lieu of registration fee and requested to end the proceedings of the suit. Perused the record. The amount of outstanding stamp duty and registration fee against the opponent has been deposited by them and the statement of the opponent was confirmed by the District Sub Registrar, Pakur present. Since the amount of outstanding stamp duty and registration fee in the described case has been deposited by the opponent. Therefore, there does not seem to be any justification to continue the proceedings of the described case initiated against the opponent. In view of the aforesaid circumstances, further proceedings in the said suit are terminated.
