This case was initiated in the light of the proposal received from the office of District Sub Registrar, Pakur through letter no. 77/Reg., dated 11.03.2025 and letter no. 105/Reg., dated 22.03.2025 for recovery of outstanding deficiency stamp duty of Rs. 6,81,608.46 and registration fee of Rs. 5,11,206.35 in respect of erroneous assessment done by Sub Registrar, Pakur in registered document no. 4580, dated 26.12.2015, submitted by the opponent in the course of registration. In the light of the proposal received, the suit was instituted and notice was issued to the opponent to present his side. The amount deposited by the opponent in lieu of deficiency stamp duty by appearing in the court and online e-challan of Rs. 6,81,609.00 was issued. By filing a copy of the online payment receipt of the deficiency registration fee of Rs 5,11,207.00 deposited towards the registration fee, it has been requested to end the suit proceedings. Perused the record. The amount of outstanding stamp duty and registration fee against the opponent has been deposited by them and the statement of the opponent was confirmed by the District Sub Registrar, Pakur present. Since the amount of outstanding stamp duty and registration fee in the described case has been deposited by the opponent. Therefore, there does not seem to be any justification to continue the proceedings of the described case initiated against the opponent. In view of the aforesaid circumstances, further proceedings in the said suit are terminated.
