his suit was initiated in the light of the proposal received from the office of District Sub Registrar, Pakur through letter no. 17/Reg., dated 11.03.2025 and letter no. 154/Reg., dated 05.04.2025 for recovery of outstanding deficiency stamp duty and registration fee of Rs. 1,82,906.12 in respect of erroneous assessment done by the Sub Registrar, Pakur in the registered document no. 4758, dated 24.11.2022 submitted by the opponent in the course of registration. In the light of the proposal received, the described suit was instituted and notice was issued to the opponent to present his side. By filing a copy of online payment receipt of Rs. 93,090.00 deposited by the opponent towards deficiency stamp duty and Rs. 69,817.00 towards deficiency registration fee, totaling Rs. 1,62,907.00, the opponent has requested to end the proceedings of the case. Perused the record. The amount of outstanding stamp duty and registration fee against the opponent has been deposited by them and the statement of the opponent was confirmed by the District Sub-Registrar, Pakur present. Since the amount of outstanding stamp duty and registration fee in the described case has been deposited by the opponent. For this reason, there does not seem to be any justification to continue the proceedings of the described case initiated against the opponent.
